SKY PRESCHOOL - A CHILD-LED, PLAY-BASED LEARNING ENVIRONMENT

Background : SKY International Preschool was undertaking a complete rebranding and positioning exercise in preparation for plans to expand their business in Vietnam. 

The Brief : As part of the rebranding process a detailed school design template needed to be developed, tested and captured into an easy to follow design manual to be used to guide and monitor future school expansion plans.   The design needed to bring to life certain brand values and facilitate SKY’s unique teaching methodologies and principles.  

The Approach :  After extensive management interviews and audit of existing schools we firstly proposed a design approach strategy demonstrated with concept sketches and visuals.  Once accepted this was quickly applied to a real test site and built out within a few months.  The pilot school was tested with any improvements identified and captured together with the overall design into a guidelines manual.  

The Result : The pilot school has been extremely well received by parents, students and teachers.  Enrolments were strong and the school is looking to be fully booked.  It is successfully facilitating their teaching methods and creating a community space for new parents.  The business is in a strong position now with the required tools to expand with confidence
